(June 7 - 9, 2002)

In this climb we learned to always carry a climbing guidebook, a compass and lots of extra water.

Table Rock Morning.
Ahhh, Saturday morning. Time to tackle 'The Mummy' climb.
Where IS the Mummy climb? We get off track and start wandering around Lindville Gorge.
We wander around for the rest of the morning. The terrain was rather treacherous and I'm amazed none of us got seriously hurt. In this pic I'm climbing up a narrow gully. We got very muddy & wet.
Here is Sarah & Eric "discussing" where to go.
After bushwhacking all afternoon we gave up and spent the rest of the day climbing around Table Rock Mtn. Here I am lead-climbing Skip-to-my-lu.
Germans discover smores.
Saturday night we hung out with a few German tourists. After dinner, we began making smores. The German girl on the left said: "I once saw a movie where the American characters started making smores...it was so gross I didn't believe it. But now I see the Americans do indeed eat them!"
On Sunday we tried finding "The Mummy" again. On the way I saw this attractive glenn.
WE FOUND THE MUMMY!!! Here's Eric on accent.
We are on top of The Mummy. Here JoEllen & Sarah are preparing for the long hike back.
Nice view from the top of "The Daddy."
Lessons: 1) I must focus on remembering the gear-bag before climbing. (I forgot it twice!) 2) Review my top-rope anchors. (JoEllen didn't like my setup.)
