Paul's still out, so I get to be your guest blogger for another day.
He's rather insistant that this thing get updated every day.
"Just write anything" he says.
I'm not sure what to write 'tho.
I'll tell you a bit about myself: I was born in New York, and raised in Miami. I'm a marine biologist, the only one I know of with a Brooklyn accent.
You probably think that the life of a marine biologist is all glamour, drugs and sex. Well, you're wrong: There is no drugs or glamour.
I spend most of my days teaching people about the importance of the sea-cucumber and doing research on an obscure kind of coral that you've never heard about, and will probably be extinct within the next decade.
There. I've made my second-ever post.
That wasn't so hard.
Oh wait - this is supposed to be a political blog. Isn't it?
So I guess I have to make some sort of political or social commentary.
How about this:
I love diving when it rains. Not during a thunder-storm or anything, that can be dangerus. I'm talking about one of those quick showers we get here in Florida that comes and goes every few hours.
You can look up and see the raindrops become the ocean the moment they hit the surface of the water.
Remember that that the next time you get too wraped up in your own ideology or world-view: We are all drops of rain, destined to become the ocean.
Paul will be back on Monday, but he asked me to baby-sit this blog for a few days.
I've never "blogged" before tho'. So I guess I'll start by posting a music video that'll kick you in the nads.
This was "banned" on MTV. I put the word banned in quotations since, as a private corporation, they can't really ban anything. Instead they simply never let quality material see the light of day.
Which, as we know, is totally different. Right?
This music video is called Bombs and it's by Faithless.
