One of the sad realities of my new job is that I can't dedicate as much time to blogging as I'd like... (For now.)
However, I would like to take a few minutes this morning to admit I was wrong about something. On February 23, 2007 I wrote the following about a proposed oil-burning powerplant in the neighboring town of Woodfin:
"Personally, I'm of the opinion that the plant is a done-deal, and the time for public comment and protest has already passed;"
Well, thanks to the hard work of bloggers and organizers - it turns out there will be no powerplant!

Yay!
Clearly, I underestimated the dedication of community activists to work within the system to accomplish their goals.
Good job!
I also got a letter from a certain Woodfin administrator - let's just call him 'Mr. Y' - who, rightfully, admonished me for my post via email and requested I: "(update my) blog to reflect a more accurate picture."
Well, Mr Y. Done and done.
