The Faded Yellow Ribbon Magnet project started three weeks ago. This will be the final post in the series.
In the past twenty days, 24 American soldiers and approximately 5,088 Iraqi civilians have lost their lives. Also, the US military has spent over five billion dollars to maintain the occupation of Iraq.
Five billion. To put this into perspective: 20 days of occupation costs more money than what our government spends on vocational education, financial crimes enforcement, the Food and Drug Administration, and housing for the elderly - COMBINED.
The human cost is incalculable, but no one seems to talk about it much.
What do we have to show for all this loss of life, equipment and treasure?
Faded yellow ribbon magnets.

This last set of pictures did not meet the criteria, but I thought they were interesting so I'm posting them here for you.
Happy 3rd Anniversary America!
I hope I don't have to do this project again next year.
